This event was held on 17-19 October 2017, Hotel Mulia Senayan, Jakarta, Indonesia. In Indonesia, SPE and IATMI have collaboratively produced this successful biennial event since 1999. Its presence and history in Indonesia and the region has cemented APOGCE’s status as the most prominent oil and gas industry event in Asia Pacific that brings together energy companies and industry professionals for technology transfer and information exchange.
Themed “Energy Resilience through Efficiency, Collaboration and Technology”, APOGCE 2017 provides an invaluable platform for participants to gain pertinent insights into the industry through a compelling technical program that features prominent industry leaders and renowned industry experts in stimulating executive plenary, panel, special and project case study sessions. The conference also boasts of its strongest technical program to date, with 35 technical sessions and 8 ePoster sessions for the invaluable sharing of multi-disciplinary technical learning.
Pars Drilling Fluids Company attended in this event in order to serve function in three stands;
I: Technical committee member in two sections from 2016 to 2017.
II: Selected in two panels as co-chair persons as follows; i) Pore Pressure, Wellbore Stability and Drilling fluids. ii) Managing Risk and Environment Performance.
II: Accepted paper selected as E-poster presentation on Drilling Session, entitled as “Now It is the Time to Forget Potassium Based Shale Inhibitors by Developing Nano Silica-Alumina Based Drilling Fluid; Laboratory Study Proves Improvement in Shale Inhibition and Temperature Stability”.
R&D mangers of companies like CABOT, Baker Hughes and PETRONAS were interested in this nano-drilling fluid replaced KCL for acquiring environmental and economic concepts.
We hope that by attending this conference, Pars Drilling Fluids has proven that we are a knowledge based company striving to innovate technologies in drilling fluids which can add value to the industry.
We thank APOGCE for organizing this event and we look forward again to our participation.
2 years after obtaining ISIRI-ISO/IEC 17025 for our central laboratory in Tehran, we are now pleased to announce that our Ahwaz laboratory has also been accredited by the National Accreditation Center of Iran (NACI) for ISIRI-ISO/IEC 17025. Many thanks to all our colleagues and stakeholders who made this endeavor possible.
After several months of follow up with World Oil-Fluid 2016 to consider PDF as a reputable drilling fluid service company in DRILLING, COMPLETION AND WORKOVERS FLUIDS 2016, Pars Drilling Fluids has been recognized internationally (Page 3) in two categories Drilling Fluids Systems (Pages 6 & 7) and Drilling Fluids Specialty Additives (Pages 28) alongside other international companies such as MISWACO, BAROID, NEWPARK, Baker Hughes and others. HEAVY-DRILL FLUID SYSTEM has been used in 12 ¼” Hole Section successfully for the first time to combat high temperature gradient in Marun Oil Field. Also, a special temperature stabilizer (TEMP –STAB L350) to stabilize WBM of 147 PCF (2.35 SG) was introduced. While drilling this section, good hole condition helps to reduce time. Hole has been drilled without any condition trip. Mud properties was stabilized in down hole condition and 9 5/8” casing was set successfully.
The 12th International Energy Exhibition was held on 11-14th January 2016 in the Kish International Exhibitions Center with the attendance of 200 internal and external exhibitors. Kish Island is noticeably one of Iran’s most beautiful islands and is a tourist site but given the extensive Oil & Gas reserves in Southern Pars Gas Field, it also hosts many Oil & Gas operators. It was our first time to attend Kish Expo.
The largest gathering of stakeholders and companies covering drilling in Iran was held on 20-21st Jan, 2016 at the International Conference Center in Tehran. Attendance of all stakeholders including contractors, employers, service providers at national and international levels in this gathering, provided a good opportunity to present the capabilities of local companies and also to increase the relationship with foreign companies. Pars Drilling Fluids had the opportunity to give a presentation titled: “The Integrated Drilling Fluids Services Best Practices Concepts” which was presented by our Chairman, Dr. Koorosh Tahmasbi. Our HR policies were also presented by Mr. Akbari. Links are available below: http://www.iranconferences.ir
Khuzestan’s Specialized Oil, Gas, Refining, Petrochemical and Drilling exhibition was held from 6th to 10th of December 2015 in Khuzestan International Exhibitions Fairground in Ahwaz. Khuzestan province contains some of the biggest oil fields in the world such as South and North Azadegan. PDF has an extensive track records in these fields for providing integrated drilling fluids services and waste management. It was our 5th time that we attended this oil show and more than 400 companies participated in the exhibition.
OBM was replaced with ULTRA-INHIBIT FLUID STSTEM (WBM) in 8 3/8” hole section in Western Marun Oil Field successfully for the first time. This section contains problematic inter layers of shale and limestone with high pressure stressed shale layers which is the main reason for the hole collapse. ULTRA-INHIBIT FLUID STSTEM is high performance water based mud which provides high shale inhibition with lowest density and it is completely environmentally friendly.
The deepest top hole section with 3000m in the complicated Iranian Oil Field “Marun“ has been drilled by CLAY-BOND FLUID SYSTEM successfully. 17 ½” hole section is one of the difficult hole sections with 3000m depth in Aghajari and Mishan Formation with high reactive clays which were caused stuck pipe and downtime during drilling nearby wells. CLAY-BOND Fluid System was used in this section and good hole condition and smooth hole section was observed in comparison with the previous wells.
We are delighted to announce that Pars Drilling Fluids (PDF) successfully participated in the 21st Iran International Oil, Gas, Refining & Petrochemical Exhibition which was held on the 5th to 8th of May 2016. Our stall was in hall 7, which was one the most important halls as National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) was also in this hall. Given the new political and economic climate in Iran after years of existing sanctions, we hosted a very lively and fruitful exhibition which we hope our visitors also enjoyed. The show featured more than 1900 internal and external exhibitors. We look forward to seeing you all in our next exhibitions which will be announced in advanced here in our news section.
The second international training seminar of “novel technologies for Drilling Fluids” was held in the International Campus of the University of Sharif in Kish Island since 26th of September to 29th of September 2015 with the attendance of private and government Oil companies chief managers and university professors and well-known European companies such as Imperial College London, Cambridge, and technological European companies including DFS Scotland, LAMBERTI Italy, ADDCON Germany.
A paper proposal entitled as “Multi-functional Nano additive in Water Based Drilling Fluid for Improving Shale Stability” was accepted on behalf of Pars Drilling Fluids Company for technical presentation at the 9th International Petroleum Technology Conference (IPTC), 6-9 December, 2015, Qatar, Doha. It is a great honor to be mentioned that Pars Drilling Fluid Company is the only company that will participate in this conference. Despite the fact that the primary function of this Nano additive is shale stability, it improves the rheological properties, lubricity and reduces the fluid loss. The most striking feature of this research is that we consider both the technical performance and scientific issues creating these unique characteristics.
TOPEX 2015: With honor we inform our client network PDF have been selected by judge technical team of TOPEX 2015 as one of best 100 Iranian company. This achiebement reached by our company managment policy and also gathering best team of staffs in the terittory.
Pars Drilling Fluids Company who was one of the participants explained its activities in the field of waste management and drilling fluids and represents its quality control laboratory.
President of World Petroleum Council and Officials of Iranian Offshore oil Company (IOOC) and its subsidiary companies were among the visitors who paid visit to the booth of Pars Drilling Fluids Co. in the exhibition.
